Luguburu Ghantabari

Lugu Buru Ghantabari Dhorom Gadh has been established as an important centre of faith of Santhal tribals for centuries and is associated with the glorious past and cultural religious faith of Santhal tribals. Santhals living in the country and abroad worship Lugu Baba as their deity and religious guru. The historic Lugu Buru Ghantabari Dhorom Gadh Dorbar rocky is situated at the foot of the mountain. Centuries ago, on this rock, the ancestors of the Santhals, under the chairmanship of Lugu Baba, discussed for 12 years continuously and composed the social customs and rituals (from birth to death) of the Santhal society and made a constitution, which even today, on the auspicious occasion of Kartik Purnima, a two-day religious conference is organized, which has the distinction of being the state festival of Jharkhand state. In this, discussions are held for the development of social upliftment, language, literature, culture, religion and education. To participate in this Mahasammelan, lakhs of Santhal devotees come from all over the country and abroad and take darshan of Lugu Baba and make a wish. The historical cave (Ghiri Dolan) is situated on the high peak of the mountain. Lugu Baba is seated inside this cave. To reach here, one has to cover a 7-km difficult path from Dorbar Chattani. Devotees keep coming here throughout the year, including every Amavasya and Purnima. The International Sarna Mahadharma Conference of Santhals was formally started here in 2001.

The dam is built mainly on the river and is intended for irrigation, water supply and power generation. The construction of Tenughat Dam started in 1972 and it was commissioned in 1985. Built in 1980 on the Damodar River, it is 166 feet high, with an expanse of 30 square kilometres. It is very popular among tourists due to its beautiful water bodies, lush green landscape and panoramic views.

Konar Dam is a major reservoir located in Bokaro district in the Indian state of Jharkhand. The dam is built on the Konar river and was established in the 1980s. The main purpose of Konar dam is water supply, irrigation, flood control and power generation. The dam also serves to supply water between the states of Jharkhand and Bihar. The Konar Dam is 4,535 m (14,879 ft) long and 48.77 m (160.0 ft) high. When it is full, the reservoir covers an area of 27.92 km.
