Ram Lakhan Tungri: In the Treta Yug, some moments were spent by Purushottam Shri Ram and Mother Sita during the 14 years of exile.

During the 14 years of his exile, Lord Ram has spent time in the forests of Jharkhand. One such place is also in Kasmar in Bokaro where Ram has passed through and there are his footprints here.

According to the belief, Ram Lakhan Dugri (small hill) of Kasmar has the footprints of Ram. The place where Rama’s footprints are located is also known as Pakaha Dahake. It is said that Lord Rama went out in search of a golden deer at the insistence of Mother Sita in Kamsaar. The arrow that was shot to kill him had come out of the mountain on which it was shot. It is said that due to the mischief of a shepherd, the stream of milk turned into water where now a water pond has been formed.

Religious significance
Being associated with Lord Ram, Ram Navami is celebrated in a grand manner. These are called Mahaviri flags. There is a competition among the people to get bigger flags from each other. Here only candy is offered to Lord Rama in the prasad and the prasad is distributed to the people.

The Importance of Medicine:
A special kind of plant is also seen in this area which people call Sanjeevani Booti or Sonpapdi plant. It is believed that eating it cures diseases related to the stomach.
