Maryada Purushottam Lord Shri Ram has also been associated with the Kasmar of Bokaro. It is believed that Lord Ram had arrived in Kasmar block of Bokaro district. According to popular belief, there is an alleged footprint of Lord Shri Ram on Mrigikhoh and Ram Lakhan Tungri (small mountain) of Kasmar block.
The History of MrugiKhoh:
It is believed that Lord Rama came here during the Treta Yuga. Lord Rama was in exile for 14 years. To fulfill the insistence and desire of Goddess Sita, the Lord had reached here chasing the golden deer. It is said that seeing the golden deer entering a cave here, Shri Ram shot an arrow. A stream of milk began to flow from the part of the hole where the arrow had hit. According to Kidwanti, a stream of milk flowed from this well for many years, but later due to the mischief of a shepherd, instead of milk, a stream of water flowed, which continues even today.
The Footprints of Lord Rama
The alleged footprints of Lord Shri Ram are also present on the Doomarkudar hill. There are two different footprints in the hill. One is near a waterfall and the other is at the top of a mountain.
