Situated in Jarangdih of Bermo block under Bokaro district, Banaso temple has been a centre of faith for decades.

History of the temple: –

According to the belief, a man was cutting the ram of his field when a stone hit a spade. A stream of milk and cotton flowed out of the stone together due to the impact of the spade. After which the small stone was considered as the incarnation of the goddess and the temple was built at the same place.Bel tree venerated

The place of Banaso Ma Banaso is a vine tree. It is believed that his mother lives in his house. Those who seek blessings here never return empty-handed.Mountains and rivers:

This temple is located on the banks of the Konar river which makes its natural beauty even more enchanting. Here on one side there are hills adjacent to the railway line, and on the other side the gurgling waters of the Konar River. People from other states who come here get fascinated by seeing the natural beauty. The banyan tree is amazing in itself.

The best time to visit the Banaso temple is during Navratri, when special pujas and festivities are held here. However, devotees can come here throughout the year to seek the blessings of Maa Banaso.
