Important Schemes with Brief Description :

1. 1. Pradhanmantri Awas Yojana – Rural:-

Pradhanmantri Awas Yojana, Beneficiaries are selected on the basis of Socio Economic and Caste Census 2011.Under this scheme homeless are benefitted with one room and two room having raw accommodation . The families of homeless, non-destructive, scavenging families, primitive tribe and family free of bondage wages are considered to be beneficiaries.7654 target has been given in financial year 2016-2017, which has been taken action according to rules and it is register and sanctioned through block wise

1. 1. Indira Awaas Yojana:-

4207 unit are pending against 13017 unit in this district and action has been taken in mission mode to complete.
National Rural Employment Guarantee Act 2005:-
The National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (NREGA) implemented by the Ministry of Rural Development is a major program of the Government, which is directly related to the life of poor and encourages extensive development. This Act is the first act of its kind in the world, under which employment is guaranteed. Its purpose is to enhance the livelihood security of the families of rural areas. Under this, an adult member of every house is guaranteed to be employed for at least 100 days in a financial year. This job is in reference to physical labour and is provided to the adult person who is willing to do it. The second goal of this act is to create sustainable assets and strengthen the basis of livelihood of rural poor. The purpose of this Act is to deal with the problem of poverty, drought, forest debris, soil erosion, so that employment opportunities arise.

Preparation and implementation of the National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (NREGA) has been seen as an important step. Its basic rights and demands have been made, due to which it has become different from similar earlier programs. The unmatched aspects of the Act include time-bound employment guarantee and payment of wages within 15 days. It is encouraged by the State Governments that they do not take any action in providing employment as the center carries 90 percent of the cost of providing employment.

Apart from this, it is also emphasized that employment is based on physical labour, in which contractors and machines have any interference. The Women’s participation in labour is 33 percent.

1. 1. NRLM:-

A total of 3245 SHGs in Bokaro district were formed in which training of women self-help groups, RF, bank credit, and strengthening self help groups is being done under NRLM.
