Tenughat Dam is an excellent example of the natural beauty of Jharkhand. It is a huge dam built on the Damodar River, which provides a unique experience of the greenery and serene environment of Jharkhand. Which is known for its huge reservoir and natural beauty. The dam is built mainly on the river and is intended for irrigation, water supply and power generation. The construction of Tenughat Dam started in 1972 and it was commissioned in 1985. Built in 1980 on the Damodar River, it is 166 feet high, with an expanse of 30 square kilometres. It is very popular among tourists due to its beautiful water bodies, lush green landscape and panoramic views.
