Chas Municipal Corporation

Chas is a municipality in Bokaro district in the state of Jharkhand, India. Chas is the sub-urban area of Bokaro Steel City. Chas is notable for a large wholesale market. Chas served as the administrative headquarters of Bokaro during the time when the city was part of the district of Dhanbad. Later, Bokaro itself was designated the status of a district and headquarters was shifted to the Steel Township. Tourists visiting Chas can spend time at the popular attractions within the destination, namely Bhootnath Mandir, Joda Mandir and Check Post.
