1. 1. Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension Scheme:-

Under this scheme, the families who are living below the poverty line or women/man whose age is 60 year or more and who are included in the poverty line , gets a monthly pension of Rs 600.00 (six hundred rupees) per person per month. Also, for those who are 80 years of age or older, there is a provision for payment of pension at the rate of 700.00 rupees (seven hundred rupees) per person. At present, the number of pensioners under 80 years is 33155 and the number of pensioners in the age group of 80 years and above is 1293.All pensioners are being directly paid to their bank account.

1. 1. Indira Gandhi National Widow Pension Scheme:-

Under this scheme, the widow of the families who live below the poverty line, whose age lies between 40 years and 60 years, is being paid at the rate of 600.00 (six) per person per month.Presently, 12596 pensioners are being paid directly under their bank accounts under this scheme in Bokaro district.

1. 1. Indira Gandhi National Disabled Pension Scheme:-

Under this scheme, there is a provision for families who have been living below the poverty line for the disabled, whose age lies between 40 years and 60 years, is being paid at the rate of 600.00 (six) per person per month. Presently 745 pensioners under the Bokaro district are being paid directly in their bank accounts under this scheme.

1. 1. State Social Security Pension Scheme:

Under this scheme, the elderly, helpless, poor person whose annual income is not more than Rs. 12500.00 in urban areas and Rs. 10500.00 in rural areas and age 60 years or more (for widow, handicapped, disabled, discrete, bonded labourers age is 18 years or more) is to be paid at the rate of 600.00 rupees (six hundred) per person per month. Presently 8836 pensioners under the Bokaro district are being paid directly in their account under this scheme.

1. 1. Primitive Tribal Pension Scheme:-

Under this scheme, the primitive tribe whose age is 18 years and above and their utility to run the family is paid at the rate of Rs 600 (Six hundred) per person per month.Presently, 140 pensioners under Bokaro district are being paid directly in their bank accounts under this scheme.

1. 1. State Widow Respect Pension Scheme:-

Under this scheme, the widow who is not getting any other government grant or pension, and the age 18 year or older, is to be paid at the rate of 600.00 rupees (six hundred) per person per month. Presently, 5548 pensioners, under Bokaro district, are being paid directly in their bank accounts under this scheme.

1. 1. State Security Pension Scheme:-

Under this scheme, the person who are infected with HIV and their age is 18 years or older , is to be paid at the rate of 600.00 rupees (six hundred) per person per month. Presently 6 beneficiaries are being paid directly in their bank accounts.

1. 1. National Family Benefit Scheme:-

Under this scheme, the main applicant of the family living below the poverty line will be given of 20000.00 rupees (twenty thousand rupees) assistance one time to the dependent of the deceased in case of death of woman / male and age ranges from 18 years to 65 years.

1. 1. Common Man Insurance Scheme:-

The Common Man Insurance Scheme has been started from the year 2008-09.Under this scheme, rural landless families are insured. Insurance premium is paid Rs 100.00 by Government of India and Rs 100.00 by State Government.Rural landless families are selected by circle officer /Block development officer under the supervision of the Deputy Commissioner. Under this scheme, before the expiry of the term of insurance, the death of the member will get 30,000.00 rupees (thirty thousand rupees), and the following benefits will be payable if accident or death due to accidental or total disability:-

1. 1. • Death in accident- Rs 75,000.00
      • Permanent disability due to accident- Rs 75,000
      • Partial disability due to accident- Rs 37,500.00

Under this scheme, there is a provision of giving education allowance of 100.00 rupees (one hundred) rupees per month to two children of the insured members who are studying in the 9th to 12th class.

1. 1. Hit and Run scheme:-

In the event of death of a person as a result of an accident from an unknown vehicle, there is a provision of grant of Rs. 2,00,000.00 (two lakh) rupees to the claimant of that person.
